A New Model of Treatment

It is a familiar scenario: a family member, friend, or coworker has a severe drug or alcohol problem. With 1 in 10 Coloradans suffering from addiction, the frustration of waiting for a loved one to willingly enter treatment is common.

When individuals go through a detox program at Arapahoe House, they often reach a moment when they are ready for help. Unfortunately, the transition from detox to a long‑term treatment program is not seamless. As a result, Arapahoe House is establishing a new treatment model to better serve its clients. By integrating multiple programs into centralized locations, the organization will be better prepared in the brief moments when an individual is ready to get help facing his or her disease.

The new Recovery Health Centers in Adams and Jefferson Counties will include outpatient and transitional residential treatment alongside the existing detox services. The integration of services means that comprehensive treatment solutions are available to address the unique needs of each client.

By establishing an integrated model of treatment, Arapahoe House will be:

  • Improving recovery outcomes by eliminating treatment barriers, making it easier for clients to transition to appropriate levels of treatment.
  • Improving access to treatment by integrating services and providing seamless access to a continuum of care.
  • Increasing capacity by expanding outpatient and transitional housing services.
  • Decreasing costs by making more efficient use of clinical and financial resources.
  • Reducing redundancy of care by addressing all client needs initially instead of providing intermittent care.
  • Improving client privacy, security and dignity by renovating the treatment space.
  • Upgrades to the physical environment will allow for enhanced supervision and improved safety.

Make an investment in Arapahoe House that will have a lasting impact on our community.
