October 2011 -- Arapahoe House and Arapahoe House Foundation, Colorado’s largest providers of quality, affordable drug and alcohol treatment recently named six new board members and added two new senior staff members. The new appointments to the nonprofit organizations will play a key role in advancing Arapahoe House’s mission of serving thousands of Coloradans suffering from substance use illness.
- Susan Arigoni was named to the Arapahoe House Foundation Board of Directors. She is currently vice president of fuels for Xcel Energy. Prior to her current position, she served as vice president, asset management and planning for Xcel’s Energy Supply business unit. Ms Arigoni began her career in corporate finance and holds an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and an MBA in finance from Regis University.
- Denn Dickey was named Arapahoe House chief financial officer. Denn brings more than 26 years of financial expertise and 11 years of experience as a non-profit healthcare financial executive, managing change in disciplines from treasury to internal control. Denn received his MBA in finance at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University.
- Michael Horton was named to the Arapahoe House Board of Directors and currently serves as the senior director of transport network operations at Level 3 Communications. His 30-year career in telecommunications and cable network operations includes a wide variety of managerial and executive roles. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor of science in business administration. His father, Bill Horton was a founding board member for Arapahoe House.
- Greg Lopez was named to the Arapahoe House Board of Directors and is currently the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Colorado district director. He is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of key economic initiatives and business development programs targeted to the Colorado small business community. At the age of 27 Lopez was elected mayor of Parker, Colorado. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
- Maigan Oliver was named Arapahoe House outpatient and forensic services program manager and brings more than six years of broad experience in the substance abuse/mental health field to Arapahoe House. She is a licensed mental health counselor and earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida State University and MS in counseling and psychology from Troy University.
- Christa Reich-Morris brings more than 40 years of advertising experience to her new role as a member of the Arapahoe House Foundation Board. She formed Reich Communications, a media buying service from which she retired in 1998. She is a past president of the Denver Advertising Federation and of the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast. Christa was named Advertising Professional of the Year in 1982 and was adjunct faculty at University of Colorado Boulder as well as the University of Denver.
- David Stevens was named to the Arapahoe House Board of Directors and is the founder of Irongate Financial Services, Inc. where he works with small businesses and individuals on a broad range of investment, insurance, and other planning issues. Stevens is licensed in Colorado to practice as a certified public accountant, certified financial planner, and accredited investment fiduciary. He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Nebraska.
- Brent Westrop was named to the Arapahoe House Board of Directors and is currently an attorney specializing in corporate law at Sherman & Howard L.L.C., the oldest law firm in Denver. He earned a Masters of Law in commercial law from the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, United Kingdom. He received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and his bachelor's degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
